Not that I’m suggesting you fly to Kansas City but if you ever happen to find yourself in these neck of the woods then you definitely have to check out the barbecue. Jack Stack is one of the top 3 places to go. Intense hickory fumes greet you at the door equal to about 250 calories per inhale. I ordered the ribs of course. I was still licking my fingers the next day.
Great hotel in the heart of the colonial center of Santo Domingo. Day rate is about $160. I was reminded how well I sleep in a nice hotel. I don’t think it’s the bed or the sheets although they definitely help. Continental breakfast is included and your in the heart of the city and more interesting places to see, eat, play.
Amazing restaurant, bar, hotel. I think they only have 6 bungalows (pretty pricey day rate). Separately though the restaurant has an international menu that is decided the day of. Make sure you ask for the roasted coconut shavings with sea salt.
Fun store in Hong Kong. Probably the best general merchandise store they have that is unique to the city…very asian lifestyle. Five locations city wide. CENTRAL, CAUSEWAY BAY, TSIMSHATSUI, THE PEAK, STREET CULTURE MUSEUM.
To Define a New Asian Identity Asia’s climate, diet, space and culture are different from the west, why shouldn’t Asians live differently? The exciting challenge for today’s Asian designers is to define a new identity for their community.
Good continental cuisine and even better ambiance. Decked out like a high end New York city diner….very cosmopolitan. I felt like I could be anywhere in the world…had drinks at the bar due to the long wait. Set in the very central area of Jardims in Sao Paulo.
Not sure why the only available dim sum is in Chinatown. It should be everywhere. Why can’t they just replace all the Pinkberry’s in the city with dim sum??? Check out Dunhuang….very authentic as you will notice by being the only non-asian asking for the shrimp dumplings. I was disappointed that they didn’t have any pork pot sticker dumplings :( but they have everything else…very delish.
If you’re ever there, looking for a drink after 2am before 9am- Go to Lucky’s Bar (1519 Penn Ave) in the Strip District and ask for “Butch Nancy”. She Runs a Modern Day Speakeasy Nearby Lucky’s Bar in a Dank Basement with no Address. The Photo is the Nearest Major Intersection One Block South. Its Fabulous.
